The Captain Stripe shield is the cornerstone of any pirate's defense. In a pirate duel, hitting is allowed everywhere, and the ability to repel attacks is therefore strictly necessary. The shield is pieced together from the remains of an old and perforated pirate coffin, and fastened at the edges with used tin cans. The skull of an old flag is also put on the shield, as proper pirates always let the outside world know that they are no joke.
